Legend of Grimrock is an amazing game that really brings back fond memories of playing Eye of the Beholder, Wizardry, etc. but one thing bugs me: the tiny in-game character portraits/part management gui.
I've just come to Grimrock after a nostalgic play of EoB2 and the in-game character portraits just seem so tiny in Grimrock - you can hardly make out the character details. Somehow, having the party portraits appear larger on screen, as in many of the old RPGs that Grimrock draws from, such as the EoB, Might and Magic, or Wizardry series', makes them feel more like an ever-present party of characters rather than a collection of inventories and click buttons in the bottom corner of the screen.
I just don't get the feeling that I'm adventuring through Grimrock with a party. The characters don't make their presence felt on-screen. Does anyone know what I mean?
Size of character portraits
Re: Size of character portraits
Here you go!
Daniel.

The pictures were bigger in previous builds of the game, but it was decided to give people more screen view instead. You do get the bigger portrait in your inventory of course.petri wrote: The game does not support importing custom portraits yet but it is pretty high on our post launch todo list. So portrait support will most likely be added sometime after the release. Portraits are 128x128 pixels and playable character races are humans, minotaurs, lizardmen and insectoids.
