Oh noes, it's happening again... [FOV & UI concerns]

The Compatibility Test shows a truncated picture on ultra-wide 21/9 and triple-screen displays.

Those who remember Bioshock before/after the widescreen patch will know what I'm talking about...
Last time, this was fixed in the launch version:
LoG1 is Hor+
Will it be the same for LoG2 ?

It should remain pretty much the same. The vertical FOV is adjusted a little on narrow (4:3 and such) aspect ratios but with wide and ultra-wide aspect ratios the vertical FOV is fixed.

That's great, thank you.
Were there further UI adjustments made to accomodate Eyefinity/Surround by any chance...?

The UI still works in a similar fashion

Okay, let me be a bit more specific.
The fixed vertical FOV is great to accomodate all sorts of displays, so thanks for that. However the UI scaling remains a problem on wider-than-HD displays. Here's what the game looks like on a triple-screen display...
Main menu: the enormous, cut-off logo overlaps menu items. The menu itself scales correctly.
Game: the UI scales to the side, i.e the right end of the right-hand monitor.
The same issues affect single-screen 21:9 displays as well, to a lesser extent. (Yes, 21:9 monitors are a thing now. Gotta love PC gaming !)
Meanwhile a lot of other games feature either a centered UI, or even an user-defined UI scaling setting to avoid these issues...
Such diverse games as
Borderlands 2,
Euro Truck Simulator 2,
Wargame or obscure indie
Retrobooster, all have ways to tackle the issue of UI scaling. In a game like LoG where the UI is not just an accessory, but a crucial element of gameplay, this is a real problem.
I'm glad that you guys made sure the game was fine-tuned for 4:3 resolutions - just please don't overlook the other end of the display spectrum

This is a well known, and long time ago reported problem routing back to LoG1. Seems there is still no
resolution independent rendering in LOG2... the
same problems
like in LOG1...

physical: 1360x768, window: 1280x1024.png -> loading screen mis-centered, option menu cut off
LoG2

Not to beat a dead horse, but it puzzles me that the same people who brought an old genre to modern technology are turning a deaf ear to this kind of issues

Is it really an issue? 20 years ago when we all had 17 inch CRT's it was normal but today I don't know anybody who is still running resolutions below 1024x768.

He is running the game in ultra wide resolutions(triple screen setup) he just said it is nice that 4 by 3 resolutions are supported but AH shouldn't forget the other dudes.

I linked several examples of people with resolutions beyond the given requirements, e.g. multi-monitor setups or setups with "exotic" relations between in-game and physical resolution (as LOG seems to mix up window and physical resolution on detection, I guess it is wrongly assumed full-window mode as standard)
"Accept button not reachable/inaccessible Option menu" for LoG2 inside the given specifications, for physically monitor settings of 1360x786, 1280x1024 in LoG2,
reported already for LoG1 two years ago.
