On replayability

Very good review. I do not kill it for this particular last thought, but...
Reasons to pass: A few odd systemic choices for character attributes and skills. Very linear, with low replayability.
haha!
There are guys here that are on their 5th run!

I personally am someone who VERY rarely replays any game. But something about Grimrock is FUN to play (and it's nice to revisit the dungeon areas that have become so familiar)

Same for me here, somehow Grimrock make me want to play it again. Not for the secrets, not for characters or story, but for the overall atmosphere. I enjoy just fooling around in Mount Grimrock, looking at the details here and there even if it's walls are generic. Once I get my hand on the editor, I'll try to do just that a dungeon that you play at a slow pace, thinking and looking.

Makes sense.

I have completed the main game three times so far, and I'm now playing multiple games (on different computer): 4 mage on hard, 4 fighter on hard, and standard prisoners (on easy, with an Xbox controller setup)

In my case, I'll (re)play LoG at least 3 times. The first run was a normal game. I finished it long time ago. The second playthrough is hard + old school mode. It' trying to get all secrets, notes and treasures this time. Finally, the third one (without giving too much spoilers) will have something to do with Toorum. It's also fun to work on getting all achievements. I hope I'll be able to get them all.

And finally, there's this minor thing they call custom dungeon. I'm wondering if it give you a bit extra more time with the game... ;)

Wish there was some random generated content or monsters to add in replaybility value, maybe in grimrock II?

Great games are always worth replaying, IMO. Grimrock, XCOM, Batman: AA and more.

One of my personal favourites is digging up Ultima VII parts 1 & 2 every few years and replaying them :D
I even have my own "rule set" to play it by which makes them more fun for me. For example, don't get the magic carpet until very late in the game, don't loot the "cheap" treasure caches and don't do the Isle of Fire before being reasonably high level.
