Fan art from my girlfriend's daughter.

Post by Motherless »

First, I have to say, I love the game, great work.

Second, My girlfriend's daughter likes watching me play games and enjoyed the creatures you put into the game. She even created a little piece of fan art of, what I believe is a giant snail and mushroom man arguing whether or not they love each other.

Thanks for the wonderful game!

That said, she *might* be a bit too young to watch you play the game, but that's not for me to decide, naturally..

At 5, she is a fairly precocious child, she understands the difference between the fantasy of the world and reality, so it has never really been a problem in terms of behavior or the concepts of death. She understands it as "defeating the enemies" as opposed to "killing the monsters". We're pretty careful to keep her away from anything too violent, but Grimrock isn't very graphic and clearly distinguishes things as monsters. She normally just watches for a little while and returns to My Little Pony, Rugrats, or Curious George. She doesn't like the spiders, by the way, says they're creepy.

Every child is, naturally, different, and what you've described sounds good to me =)

age won't matter, as long as she is interested to.
