Level 1 in 4 minutes Achievement
Level 1 in 4 minutes Achievement
I've been trying to figure out how to do this. It seems pretty clear that I'll have to construct a party specifically to get this Achievement. So far my best time is about 5:20, which is way off. It's basically a team of four minotaurs. They all have max Str and the Aggressive trait, the front two have the Fist Fighter trait and a point in unarmed, and the back two both have the Skilled trait and four points in Throwing. They can blast through the beasties pretty quick, but the problem is that I need to avoid the enemies altogether to go even faster. The two most problematic areas are the two places you get the two blue jewels, since one is packed with Herders and one is packed with Snails. It's kinda hard to get around them to get to the jewels, and fighting them wastes time.
I feel like this Achievement is partially up to luck, which kinda annoys me. Certainly there's a better way to go about this.

Re: Level 1 in 4 minutes Achievement
Couple things to keep in mind, in case you don't already know them:
1. If you are creating your own party, the timer starts as soon as the party creation screen appears.
2. You can escape the open credits as soon as they start.
3. You can save/restore and the timer resets to your saved time.
A bit of luck is involved in this imo. If you don't have to kill all the snails and/or mushrooms/roots/wtf_ever_they_are_called this challenge becomes significantly easier. Whether or not they are positioned in a way that allows you to skip them is where the luck comes in.
Cheers and good luck.

Uh, well, I think that might be my problem then. I was aware of all the other points already.Callipygous wrote:1. If you are creating your own party, the timer starts as soon as the party creation screen appears.
I guess I need to get good at character generation then. Either that or run with the default party or Toorum.
Re: Level 1 in 4 minutes Achievement
Toorum's movement speed increase seems like it would be key to getting this achievement (plus, no wasted time in character generation).
I assume this isn't locked to a difficulty level either, so you can do speed runs on Easy and still get it.

Goromorgs freak me out.
Re: Level 1 in 4 minutes Achievement
I actually had Easy mode cause a problem. Since the enemies are less aggressive, they don't move as much. Which makes that skeleton soldier annoying since just getting him to walk to a point to where you can go around him is easier than trying to fight him. But in easy mode he'll often just kinda stand there, wasting time.Brude wrote:Toorum's movement speed increase seems like it would be key to getting this achievement (plus, no wasted time in character generation).

Also since you ARE going to be forced to kill at least a couple Herders and Slugs, probably, Toorum is probably a bad choice since he'll take forever to kill things.
I actually have no idea what the default party looks like. I've never used it.

Re: Level 1 in 4 minutes Achievement
Yeah, I was thinking about using mages in the back. Seems I had the right idea about the front row. Thanks.
Another guy suggests 4 ice mages which is a neat thought. There are definitely a lot if situations where enemies line up on the first floor.

Yesterday i got the Dungeon Runner Achiev using the Default Group. It was pretty easy and took me about 3 times befor obtaining it.Darlos9D wrote:Yeah, I was thinking about using mages in the back. Seems I had the right idea about the front row. Thanks.

If we do not end the war, the war will end us.
Re: Level 1 in 4 minutes Achievement
Ah, there. Did it with the fistfighter/ice mage setup. Got a bit lucky with the way the herders moved too. Just barely made it.
Now I just need to throw 100 rocks or something, haha.

Re: Level 1 in 4 minutes Achievement
It's quite easy, just make 4 fistfighters (fistfighter & aggressive perk) and keep toggling their positions in combat, so everybody gets to hit. It takes some micro, but this is definitely a neat way to do it, since you can't run out of mana.
