Grimrock

Been playing Grimrock since release day. I have been enjoying it on highest settings and 16:9 fullscreen, smooth as silk. Today, however, the performance is terrible compared to how it was previously. The inputs are slightly delayed, and the framerate has dropped immensely.

I have been playing around with it all day, doing basic trouble shooting. I have tried many combinations of settings (lowest is better than highest, but still noticeably bad), restarting computer, re-downloading the game (steam), and other games appear to be fine.

I am just surprised at the sudden change after how smooth it was. To my knowledge, nothing has changed on my computer, but it is still a possibility. Anyone have any ideas?

Im finding the same thing, though, the graphics do look better it does seem...

In saying that, if you put the quality down performance should shoot back up (havnt tried if it does, though).

I'm getting this too After all the problems I've had getting this to work now this lol.

Win7 x64, gog version, patch 1.1.4
ati 4870
i5 2500k

Will play with settings but it shouldn't be struggling to run grimrock (maybe I'll disable vsync and leave Fps limiter at 60)

Dropping SSAO seems to help, although I dont have fraps for an FPS overlay.
