Actually, does it simply determine which audio gets played when the character gets hurt?
Can anyone confirm if this is the case?
Yes, the gender combobox determines which sounds are played (could affect something else in the future).

I got the gog version of the game, and the latest patch they have is 1.0.0.12, since it has 4 numbers instead of 3, I'm not sure if its even the correct patch? Is this patch 1.1.4? or has anyone even gotten the gog version of patch 1.1.4? cause I can't find it anywheres

I tried installing patch 1.0.0.12 and it doesn't have anything thats included in patch 1.1.4 so I'm fairly positive its not 1.1.4... Where can I get 1.1.4?

GOG's version of the game should be 1.1.4 by now according to this thread:
GOG.com master updated to 1.1.4.
TheEnigmaticT wrote:Our master build is now updated to 1.1.4. Please redownload the game from your shelf and have fun!
To update the game, you need to uninstall, then reinstall it. Choosing to keep your save files might be a good idea, too.

This is necessary because our installers don't replace files by default, since many old games keep save games stashed in weird places and an "update" might end up wiping something valuable.
I don't how the GOG version numbers work or if it would effect what you see on the bottom left of the main menu screen where I have 1.1.4, so if you look out in the option menu for these changes:
I would look for these changes in the settings menu then if not there I would uninstall and redownload from my GOG shelf.

The game version is displayed in the bottom left corner of the main menu. Unfortunately GOG uses their own version numbering which is a bit confusing...

Phlimm wrote:So I just downloaded the patch from the Humble Bundle page. Do I uninstall 1.1.3 and then install 1.1.4? Do I need to delete any folders? Some directions would be nice.
I read someone have purchased the game through the Humble bundle. Did I get it right?
