- UPDATE -

I am making solid progress towards completing the Isle of the Deranged modification.
I am also on target for a late March completion date. In addition, I will have the mod play tested by both a complete novice to both Legend of Grimrock games, and a veteran. Through testing, I have counted approximately four hours, and I have completed around 5% of the game. This is due to the open-world style I have implemented, as well as the opportunity to backtrack in order to improve your characters.
Keep in mind that I know where to journey, how to solve the puzzles, and where the enemies are placed. That means that the game will be large and lengthy allowing the player to save and return at will.

I have added the Southern Zhaoze screenshots to Photobucket if you wish to look at the new stage.

** In regards to characters, I strongly recommend starting with new characters. Everything has been meticulously placed and tweaked so that new adventurers may commence their journey. Starting with high-level characters will break immersion.**

Isle of the Deranged will be available from Nexus Mods upon completion. I am contemplating uploading it to both Steam and ModDB if there is a demand for it.

- UPDATE -

Video teaser now available on Youtube.

I am finalising changes, but have a lot more testing to do. I do not wish to upload a bug-filled mod, nor do I want to release one that is impossible to finish due to design errors.

As of now, it is 94% complete. I am still on time for a late March finish.

- Update -

Just arrived back from vacation, so I'm back slaving away at the mod. :)

Finalising later levels in an attempt to complete the plot. I have invested some time into the story, but nothing that is dreary or intensive. After all, it is still a Dungeon-Crawler.

Eight days remaining for my 30th of March deadline, which I feel that I am on track to meet that deadline. Although, play testing is sluggish, which has added time to the release date.
I didn't really need to add a strict time limit to the mod finish date, but after four months I found that it was necessary to do so. Any longer and it'll be an unofficial sequel to the game.

Again, please feel free to check the Photobucket link for new images relating to the project. I often update them for people that are interested.
For those that aren't, you can always find some here on this forum.

The pressure's on... eight days to go!

I probably shouldn't have given myself such a strict time line as I'll be struggling to finish it by the 30th.
I'll do my best and should have it ready, but if not then it'll be a few days after the 30th of March.
There aren't any scripting issues, ugly visual glitches, or nonsensical gameplay hints, rather just stringent testing. I'm not going to release it unfinished mainly because I don't want to update it.
Once it's complete I would like to move on to another project. Basically I would like to release a fully functioning mod, unlike the corporations that release unfinished games that require day one patches.
It is almost complete though, so It will be ready very soon. :D

Thanks for being patient.

Official release date: Monday, the 6th of April 2015.

Testing is almost complete. Luckily, I didn't release it late March as I found an issue that prevented the player from progressing. This ultimately would have made the mod unfinishable.

I have uploaded approximately 80 screenshots on Photobucket, and a trailer to Youtube, so I think that's enough.
Time to release it!

I will uplaod it to both Nexus Mods and ModDB. I have the GOG version of LoG2, so I will not upload it to Steam. The Steam Workshop is too messy anyway.

Almost there...

I hope everyone enjoys it.

If you have any questions, please feel free to personally message me (PM), leave a comment here on the forum, or on the Nexus Mods page.
There isn't a walkthrough at the moment. I'm not sure whether I'll make one as I've spent a lot of time making this mod.

Have fun! :)

Hmm, not sure if I'm the only one with this problem, but I can't load it. It took a few tries to get the 7z file extracted properly from the Nexus Mods download. But Grimrock crashes as soon as I try to start the Mod. :o
