undefeatable skeleton?

hello,
great game and great ios port.

i think i encountered something weird.
on the 4th level inside the time and tide portal there is a plate which closes and opens a series of pits.
if i fall down one of the pits into the 5th level, there are a few skeletons which usually don't pose any threat. but can't seem to kill a skeleton archer duo down there.
first i thought this was just a stronger version but a spear skeleton in the same area is no problem at all,
it's only that one archer duo that i can keep fighting.
i tried it for about half an hour dancing, hitting, dancing, etc..
my party became hungry twice and i got bored. so i quit.

anyone else encounter this?
am i doing something wrong or is this a bug?

i don't know what to say, tried it again and killed them with a couple of hits.
not sure what triggered it, but i found something new.

after i killed the archers i wandered around a bit and went back to the first room on the 4th level.

in the room i saw a poison cloud, which was strange cause i killed the enemies in that room some time ago and the cloud didn't hurt me.

kinda hard to make out, but in this picture i'm standing on top of the cloud.

and now the strange thing, by tapping the cloud it vanishes and a sword appears in the player hand.

in the inventory the sword has no description at all,
it is equipable but i can't use it, perhaps my sword skill is too low.

i can put the sword back on the ground and the cloud reappears or i can throw the sword and an enemy poison cloud which actually hurts my party appears.

I also came across the undefeatable skeleton on level 4, after re-loading a save game the skeleton was back to normal.
