Excellent excellent work guys. Really.

Exactly what I was looking for. Jest keep chipping away at it like the dwarves you are and it'll become something useable.

I'd like to get someone to change the current altar and like, put it in the current catacombs, since dwarves don't leave their own corpses out for the rats to feast on. So if i were to do it I would make the current catacombs look like they put the side of the current altar over the opening, thus walling off the buried dwarfs' corpse.

Also make the current Altars look like tombs as well. lay a very angular representation of a dwarf or something on the top of the altar that represents the inhabitant.

If someone was to feel really ambitious they could make the above ideas open-able.

if we could also get a sort of foundry feel from some area in the tile-set too. like some sort of forge as a light-source and an altar with a sword or hammer relief carved into the top. A place-able anvil. A hanging crucible. so many many ideas.

OOO! a tile that is deep like 3 units or whatever that needs to be bridged to walk over, but it emanates light from below like a magma river.

so many ideas ... i wish i were talented in other ways than spouting ideas.

Ok, I have more.

In the deepest reaches of the ancient temples of the dwarves lie their catacombs.
It is said they bury their dead differently, sealed away to protect their souls from the
prying eyes of the great demon.

I made two catacombs, a cracked and uncracked. And three altars, only one altar worked very well though.
The hammer looked fine to me, however the soldier motif altar reminded me that i am NOT an artist, and the partially open altar was messed up by using the base altars normal map I suspect.

I think that most of this works best in the temple wallset(though I could simply adjust the catacombs). If you are making a dwarven dungeon. Then these can dwarf up one portion using the temple set, will another persons wallset can form another portion.(such as if phitt finishes.)

Edit:Granted since we are supposed to be producing one tileset the original two things I produced can probably be put to use anywhere and these could just be fun on other projects. ;)

Even if not the original intention, I decided to add a little to my "dwarven temple" work. Here is a wall with a little hammer idol inserted:

I also made a general use Hammer Idol. I made it a free standing statue, but looking at it. It would look better as a wall statue.

Well there, another piece to make a dwarfy temple conversion. And another item for any dwarven home.

Edit: Hmm, project is a little lonely.

Well, I think my part is done.
I made the wall version of that hammer statue/idol thing (picture can be found with pack) and uploaded my work.

Here is the file, best of luck:http://grimrock.nexusmods.com/mods/191

Edit: As can probably be told, I have to admit this wasn't my most inspired work. I tried my hardest but do to being so far from my normal theme inspiration was limited. Still it was fun and now there is an option to at least give a simple dwarf theme to a tileset. (and if phitt keeps working, then it can allow for a two tilesets. A thematic addition to temple and a dedicated set.). Though I do like my lamp, as far as torchflame position allows.

Hello, great work Asteroth and Phitt! I know it's been quite a while since anyone has posted here, but I'm hoping that means Phitt's had time to finish his wallset ;). If you still have even a WIP version of your mage tileset and/or dwarven tileset, I'd definitely be interested in seeing them and using them too (of course) if you'd allow. Let me know, thanks!
Working on a dungeon that displays a massive collection of assets while sorting them into convenient reusable plugin format (concept from some of leki's mods). Will contribute some of my own models as well eventually and follow that with custom dungeon.
