You are right for the cheese, it is in fact far more colorful that I remembered.
Even after checking a while ago at the Dungeon mater encyclopedia ! :D

Nice addition and nice work !
Your model are far better constructed than my current WIP ! :)
You actually cut and extrude where I simply put two different object side by side !

I have remarked that your keys models does not have face on the back (toward the floor).
Is that intentional ? I suppose it is... I'm just curious...

So I wonder, does you see through the key when you throw it around ? Since it lacks some faces on the bottom...
I haven't tried it in the editor, and I suppose that it could not be a problem with object this small.

That new texture is far more appetizing. I still like the old one, but this is something I might use in a still inhabited place where the other rots in abandoned reaches. Though I guess adventurers tend to head for abandoned reaches, but the new one could be among supplies.

Thank you, LordYig
Right, i tend to extrude ;) And i merge, if models not too complex, some meshes by hand. This saves triangles.
Also (nearly?) all models in grimrock are single-sided, that again saves computing power.
However, all tris which are not visible, can be removed. It´s the case with my keys and saves comp.power, too!
If you throw the keys, they don´t rotate (wich is not a natural behaviour :) ) and so the backfaces aren´t visible.

Naaa :) The wizard eye has no mouth, but most adnd ones have, i guess
But that cn be changed on another variation. Will think of it.
Biggest prob ATM is to rig suitable animation sequences with good timing - and there is no fair way to test such in grimrock for now.
And i dont want to waste too much time, so i have to wait until i can! (prepare models is veery time consumig!)
My hope lies by John Wordsworth, who work on fbx import - blender is able to export fbx. But will all functions flawless then? I hope .. :P

Nope sorry I'm actually a real medieval (and older) literature buff. Astaroth (I switched it to E) is mostly from the Lesser key of Solomon.
But is mentioned in a couple of other lists of demons. Sorry if that was too much info, I get enthusiastic. (In the american release at least black crypts baddy is called Estoroth)

Ah i see. Spelling is different but sounds similar.
Not too much info, quite interesting.
Reading books is one of my favourites - SF, fantasy, sometimes history related and always news/political stuff.

Again! Models updated.

The corn item is a bit too long, will fix it later.
Ah, and dont forget: You can save texture space by disabling the normal maps for items!
