[WIP] Rocky Wallset

Post by flatline »

Rocky wallset, work in progress:
(As always, crappy clip quality)
Rocky Wallset

What the clip shows:
Walking into a cave through the collapsed temple floor, finding a lair, and a view of the dragons desolation.

Have a new version with a waterfall at the end, and a stream below, also a few bad attempts at creating trees from herders.
Some minor clipping issues, but I must say it is a nice change of scenery, if somewhat repetitive at the moment. Suggestions for improvements welcome.

Glad you like it. Now imagine a few trees and a stream in the valley below, at the end of the clip (to the right in the screenshots). By giving a negative depthBias to stuff, viewing distance can be increased and some rather impressive outdoor scenes should be possible, at least as a backdrop. Takes a lot of fiddling around though, to get it to look right.

Got some more tricks coming up, but maybe I'll save it for the Community Dungeon and 1 room robin.

Hoo, that's really good ! :o
Between this, the forest and the mine tile set there are some crazy stuff being made !

Note for myself and for later:
Never, ever try to make a tile set to avoid being wrapped in shame and discomfort...

This might potentially fix a problem I've had with my dungeons for a while -- this calls for chasms player can fall into!

Very nice, all the new wallsets are looking really, really sweet.

FYI: Chasms can be done with the GMT and any wallset. Not too complex, just some offsetting and cloning.
