spell books

In the Round Robin game how the heck do you use the spell books. Exactly what are they supposed to do? How can the help?
They don't seem to do anything when casting a spell. Do you leave them open as you cast or what. How do they work???

You are referring to the One Room Round Robin 3?

And then you mean what books exactly? The 5 Rune Books for earth, water, air, fire and balance?

Yes, One Room Round Robin 3. I am referring to the five spell books you find after placing the Orb of Radiance on the pedestal near the Crystal of life and teleport to the N.E. part of the asylum level.

Well, these books are altering the power and duration of the spells of one of the five rune schools.

While the values of the choosen rune spells are raised, values if other rune spells are lowered. You can click on the champion's portrait (the big one in the inventory) to see the effects.
