Created some more lighting elements including a skeleton style wall decoration ( I bought that asset just modified the texture and added a glowing crystal :P ). Oh and added a cool looking doorway ( that took a bit to create and UV )

Completed stairs up. Still have stairs down, but everything is coming along nicely :)

Messing around with different textures to give it more of a structural feel :)

Added a ceiling chasm for more depth too :P

Tho I'm thinking about changing the pillar that looks like a trophy with a butt crack.

This is looking more and more like some sort of cavesystem that lead to the gates of hell ...
Really like the mixed in structural bricks with the natural rock formations.
Are the bricks a flat texture or made out of some models?

(would be nice if you could make some of those crystals bleed droplets of blood with a particle system - tho I don't know if it would sway away to much from shadowgate)

Thanks Kelly, yea the red gloomy color gives that impression :D. I thought mixing the two different styles might look interesting and so far so good. The bricks are just a texture on a rough surface, the normal map on that brick works well :P.

I like the idea of blood crystals and I think I might add that as a separate particle system and material replacement :)

More and more that I think about it, this project is more Shadowgate inspired then anything else. I will try to recreate areas from that game (2014 version) as close as I can get it ( as resource packs) and design some of my own. I have some outside areas that I will be creating. For example: Mushroom Forest and Icy Cliffs. Honestly I can't wait to start designing the Mushroom Forest :D.
