Revisiting old mod from GR1

Post by vidarfreyr »

It's been a while since I had to take a break from modding because of life happening, it was back during Grimrock 1 days. I made a mod that had some fairly tricky puzzles in it. Notoriously tricky to make. Is there a way to import my old project into Grimrock 2?

Sadly, no way...

Therefore nearly every definition has changed between LoG1 and LoG2 noone made a tool to transfer projects until today (and I don't know if it's possible at all...)

While it's not possible to import all of your code from LOG1, many things that were really complicated hacks in LOG1 are much easier to make in LOG2 (once you get around the component system). Equally, if you have already done the majority of the "thinking" about how things work mechanically, it might not be too hard to port it across.
