The Allure of Nightfall - Version 1.0

Synopsis -
The acquaintances utilise the ability to travel through dimensions in order to acquire what they desire. Some desire power, others treasure or wealth, yet there are others they just yearn for adventure.
These four have found a new world where all of these are achievable, and will not return until they have explored the entire world and attained what they desire.

For years, four associates met on a weeknight's end to discuss and understand the mysteries of the multiverse.
During the hotter months on this distant world of Nanzhan, these four acquaintances found a way to traverse other worlds using the Baoshi. These journeys to the surreal worlds offered new experiences that few others had known.
By running tests and researching all they could about this universe, their advanced technologies allow them to prepare for the upcoming challenges they may face.
Now on this expedition, the four acquaintances discover a world that is harsh, yet beautiful.
Their arrival on the new world ‘Aomi’ is one that must not be underestimated.
The world is fractured, unstable, and in order to acquire and return home with what they desire, they must find the relics spread amongst the land.
Stranded until they can offer the items this world requires, they must battle, adapt, and conquer or be consumed.
The world of Aomi is yours to explore.
Use your wits, stay together, and fight if you wish to survive. Nanzhan is now a world away, and your stay should not be a long one.

Not everything is hostile in this odd world, but the adventurers will arm themselves to prepare for the new experience.

* Open-world mod focusing on exploration.
* Particular attention to detail to create immersion.
* Non-linear approach to the mod.
* Several challenging, yet interesting boss fights. Boss battles will not always be a direct party versus boss battle.
* Different beings from various worlds including elemental monsters, dark hunters, abominations, and misunderstood creatures.
* New and varying puzzles.
* Adventure theme - based on a quest of discovery.
* Contains Legend of Grimrock 1 enemies.
* Assets, items, enemies, and tile sets from Vanblam, Minmay, Mutman, ZimberZImber, Skuggasveinn, Isaac, THOM as well as
Magic of Grimrock assets by Leindel.
* Total of 18 stages.
* Playtime is approximately 16-20 hours.
* The Party will not commence their quest naked, instead they will be equipped for their long and rewarding journey.
* Easter Eggs from another mod
* Full armour sets. Each asset has been redefined to change its advantages and disadvantages; many attributes and descriptions have also been re-written.
* New tomes, as well as some edited old tomes.
* Differing tones in regards to the adventure: biohazard outbreak, magic show, friendly NPCs, insane asylum patients, military intervention, among others.
* Breakable dungeon walls.
* Several spells - both new and old.
* Several edits to the skill system.
* Changed classes to represent the feel of the mod.
* Edited the species (races) to align with the created world.

I know... It's a long wait, but it'll be worth it. It won't be late 2018, although it'll be at least six months.

I have a story in mind, some of the first stage complete, but there's so much more to do.

I'll take you up on the tester advice, because it'll speed up the progress.

Well, back to working on the mod now :)

I agree. The community is much smaller now, but that doesn't mean people should stop trying to create mods or assests.
There are great assets and tile sets that are really impressive, which I found motivating. I'll try to put in a lot of work this weekend and provide an update soon.

The forest and dungeon tiles sets are amazing!

Hey, everyone.

I have actually done a lot of work on the first area. Vanblam's work has really motivated me to build a new atmosphere; something more adventure-like, and less foreboding like Isle of the Deranged .

There's still a lot to do, but it's coming together nicely. I will add a few screenshots soon, and possibly add the premise once I am happy with the progress.

I will try to keep you all updated with the progress.

As usual I'm pretty busy, but I did get time to spend on the mod.

I've added a few new screenshots. These depict very early work and will be changed, however, they at least display the tone that I am attempting to achieve.

Torst, I hope some people purchase Legend of Grimrock 2, so that they can try out the adventure and other people's mods.
