I presume you are in the outer hallway-ring of the fortress?

For the portcullis there is a switch somewhere - look out for it...

For to open the other door in the south you have to combine a few steps of the mechanic - and you have also to find a hidden device...

Mon Dieu, very sneeky THOM, very sneeky buttons...hehe...BTW I am enjoying yr MOD ..You have put so much into designing these puzzles...drives players crazy ...but fun. I just hope I have gotten everything I need along the way. A bit concerned about DJ, I never ran into him or got past the other locked underwater gate in the village, or got the upstairs door open in the pub. Should I go back? Anyway, thank you so much for your wonderful effort! Ingenius!

THOM. OK I did go back to the pub, but still cldnt open the upstairs door. I got the note "turn 34 times " but dont know where to stand, or really what the note means, so I'm back in the mine now, and cannot crack yr code to open two remaining doors..or is it that the code is there is no code, just guesswork?

Maybe you've missed it the first time. When you enter the pub and have a look into the apple barrel you can hear a conversation between the conspirators in the pub. They give you a good hint.

But for now: You have to turn something 3 for 4 times, that's right.

It's something up there near the door - can you guess, what?

HI again Thom, now I am in the wizardry library. Without giving it away, I have worked out that the switches and plates alter the direction of the lightball. But cannot get the light to go into the receptacle. I presume when it hits, the nw door will open. Is this correct? Cannot see how to press the high blue wall buttons. Anyway seeing I cannot progress in the game I have begun a new MOD. Hope you can give me A BIG hint please...I really like your MOD.

No, the whole lightball-puzzle is completly optional.

The solution to reach the upper switches is more obvious than you might think.

Don't know which door in the north-west you exactly mean. There are two doors that can be opend with one ornamental key. After that you have to solve another puzzle behind the doors.

All in all you have to find 4 nexus keys for to leave the laboratory. But you can find and use (sooner or later) 5.

Hi THOM, well i feel a little shame to ask this... i checked the entire post, or tried to read everything...(39 pages are too much  ) and no one ever asked about this...so i think i really missed something very simple...
SpoilerShow
LAKE LEECH
the greenish light pillar, where you can insert up to 3 green gems: at first i had 2, tried every combination with 2 gems (tried also with and without rocks) and opened 3 different force fields.

Then a merfolk appeared and left me another one on death.

Now i tried really everything with all 3, even putting more then one in a single spot, and with and without rocks along.

The only change i found was a secret, in starting pool, where i found the "vest of water".

I can see no use for the stairs leading up in the center (no spot to throw items) and can't throw items to teleporter in starting pool, because rocks block visual...
Any help is appreciated :D

Regards
Orace
