V2.1.13 - BUG COLLECTION

Post by PSY » Mon Oct 27, 2014 12:01 am

As there's no central thread for collecting 2.1.13 bugs I created one to help petri find everything efficient in one place for the next patch. (like badhabit's 1.3.7 bug collection viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4567)

I'll try and keep this list updated. I'll also try and colour-code the bugs to make it easier for you to decide what's urgent and what's not:

Cosmetic bugs (translation, textures, typos, meshes with slightly false x/z/y coordinates in the world etc.)
Minor bugs
Major bugs

Feel free to add bugs. Please describe the bugs as clearly as possible and explain how to reproduce them. Add screenshots if necessary.

KNOWN BUGS IN VERSION 2.1.13:

 Item description grammar: Bear Pelt --> the comma after 'BEAR' should be moved to after 'SKIN'

 Item description typo: Etherweed --> 'RIVEDBEDS' should read 'RIVERBEDS'

 Item description grammar: Etherweed --> 'SOUGHT FOR' should read 'SOUGHT AFTER'

 Item description typo: Assassin's Dagger --> double use of 'SLENDER'

 Blue Rezz Crystals --> Y coordinates set too low at some spots https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsGqPeA ... b7cbPtgUQz

 Slight UI lag on some machines viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7479

 Blank screen with crash after exiting game viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7802

 User marks clickable when under map controls viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7752&p=79701#p79701
Image

 Items floating in mid-air, caused by deactivating light bridges aka skywalks viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7819

 Sewers - Tetris room riddle glitch viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7780

 Lindworm fight bug viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7766

 Locking yourself up in the Burial Chambers (for good) viewtopic.php?f=21&t=7827

Have fun,

Can't confirm this one for 2.1.13.
Are you sure you found that potion in a game started (with a party created) under 2.1.13?

You can check with the editor or console command ' spawn("potion_resurrection") ' that this bug does no longer exist in 2.1.13

Wasn't sure when I created that party.
Just launched the editor, seems to be fixed.

Removed!

Thanks,

I found 2 typos. Just looked at these in the editor so they're good for 2.1.13 bugs:

Misspelling - "rivedbeds" should be "riverbeds"

Grammar - The comma after "bear" should be moved to after "skin". It should read "This cloak, made of bear skin, has a musty smell." (I think, my grammar sucks )

Nice, thanks.

Regarding the Etherweed, I think the correct term is 'sought after' instead of 'sought out', right?

Oh yeah, that should be changed too. There's a few of those in descriptions, where the wording is strange but technically it's probably OK, I think. :?

If you removed the "much", it would be "Etherweed is sought out for the beautiful blue glow of its buds." That makes sense because "sought out" does mean searched for.

But, adding the "much" it should be "Etherweed is much sought after for the beautiful blue glow of its buds." as you noted.

LOL we can have a whole thread on description semantics! I actually read all the descriptions carefully, they add a lot to the game for me, surprisingly.

Is the Assassin's dagger even in the game?

Cosmetic BUG:
It seems that sometimes the blue saving crystals are getting deeper and deeper into the ground.
Look at these videos where you can see exactly what i mean:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsGqPeA ... b7cbPtgUQz (right at the beginning of the video)

and:

That's exactly what I was thinking. Thanks mate!

I'm not fluent in English, not even close, so I've got to ask guys who actually are
