Hi,
last time I started the editor everything was fine. I was working on a recreation of an old Might and Magic game. I created about 25 maps in this project. Today I tried to open the project and got the mentioned error message and nothing loads.
How can I fix this?
If this means all my work is lost, then I'm done with LoG2 Map Making.^^
Thanks in advance!
Lukas

Post the error message.

*This should be found in the error.log file, found in the game's documents folder.
Usually found two folders up from the mod folder; or in [User documents] \ Almost Human \ Legend of Grimrock 2.

BTW... Did you name your own file Grimrock2.dat? That is the default file name for the game's own campaign maps.

If you opened that original file, I don't think that it's possible to directly save changes to it.
Could you have overwritten —or otherwise corrupted it? That would require a reinstall of the game, for having ruined the game's main resource file.

Check your Gimrock2.dat file, in the game's install folder. It should be 1,044,201,413 bytes in size; approx 995 MB.
From what you mention of it, the error suggests that the game cannot find or parse this—its main data file; it cannot work without it.

Okay, maybe I posted the problem too fast, because I was somewhat shocked. :D
I restarted the game and now it suddenly loads the project without an error. Odd thing.
The name of the project is MM3, nothing in there is named something with grimrock. In the log file is no error message. I have no idea why this error occurred. I hope it won't come back. Maybe I make a backup of my project somewhere.
Thanks for the reply. :)
