Monster Generators: I want them alive, correct? For xp?

Monster Generators: I want them alive, correct? For xp?

Hi.

I understand this game has monster generators...

My questions:

1) I don´t know how often they produce monsters. Does anyone know?

2) But basically, my understanding is that I don´t want to destroy any of these, so I can constantly get more and more enemies to spawn. Am I correct?

and

3) The brush (dead brown thicket of wood) in the Forest... are those Ent generators?

4) How will I know what is a Monster generator please?

Monsters are spawned by triggers (invisble pressure plates) and timers with different values. You can't see or destroy those spawners. At best you can evade them which requires you to know where exactly those invisble pressure plates are located.

Uh... so you´re telling me there´s no way for me to destroy the monster spawners, correct?

And that none of these spawn locations are ever visible on the island?

There is ONE area that actually has monster "generators" as you like to call them. You might want to (ab)use them for XP. Yet you need to destroy them in order to complete the area and advance further, so they do not really count.

The monster generators in LoG2 (called "spawners" in the dungeon editor) are invisible and can't be destroyed.
AFAIK the spider eggs are just for decoration, and destroying them will not stop spiders from spawning.

But some spawners are automatically deactivated when certain conditions are met, such as the ones mentioned by Dr. Disaster:

Killing any of the stationary spore mushrooms in the Herder's Den bossfight will deactivate the four spawners around it.
