Hi there.

I have released an updated version of my first mod CASTLE RINGFORT (2.0).

It's maybe interesting for all those, who are waiting impatient for the release of Grimrock II, but think One Room Round Robin 2 is a too big challenge...

This is a mid sized dungeon with not that much levels and moderate playtime - but as much excitement as possible on all corridors. Included is a bunch of additional props and creatures (some well known, some really new!) - and most notably the latest monster designed by the famous Leki.

Also remarkably, that the progress of the game is different depending on how experienced your choosen party is. Moreover focus was on creating an atmospheric setup - and on storytelling: beside the usual "find your way"-quest there is also an intrigue to uncover and an optional special-task.

I hope you will enjoy it.


BE PREPARED: In that mod I am giving no clue how to cast spells or to brew potions. Players have to be familiar with the magic system of "Grimrock"...

I'm totally stuck on the first level.

I got out of the cell, killed the guards, killed the snails and killed the spiders that spawned later on lvl2.

I found the ore and tried to put in the mouth's of the heads and press around on the buttons but nothing seems to happen and I just don't know what to do. =/

Have you tried all constellations of ore-in-mouth and pressing buttons?

If you want to have a detailed hint:
SpoilerShow
Put the ore in the right mouth and press the left button.
Then put the ore in the left mouth and press the right button. ;)

Ok I'm stuck, I've reached the point where it asks me to "be fast" I assumed I had to hit the lever on the teleporter square quickly but I just can't. I click in the area of the lever as I run down the hall and I get the test lever as I run past but not the second one. I got the hint from a prisoner to be lighter, so ditched my gear but still nothing. Any help?

I just can't do it, I teleport back before I'm even fully onto the square, I know it should work since I flip the test lever as I strafe past, but I can't trigger the other lever even with the advice in the topic you recommended
