This could be fun. Especially if everyone contributes in just a small way.

Started making a dwarf type tileset with 6 unit walls (= twice as high as regular walls).

It's very WIP, only the pillars are more or less complete. Wall texture is currently repetitive and not very detailed, ceiling is just the ceiling of my old Wizard Tileset WIP, floor is not done at all plus all deco objects are missing. So...uhm. Not much to show, but if I find the time I will eventually make a complete tileset out of this. Just posting to make sure this thread isn't completely forgotten, maybe someone else wants to create dwarven type stuff as well.

I know you maybe had even larger walls in mind, but I think it would become either very repetitive or a waste of texture memory (since the upper part would hardly be visible, but you'd still need more texture space to make sure it doesn't repeat).

Wow! Quite wonderful, Phitt. I think the LotNR Project could repurpose those for gran halls in Nothampton!

Dunno why LoTR's Moria came to my mind

When facing a wall the player will only see the lower 3 units, right?
So .. how mean would it be to place any kind of alcoves or buttons in the upper part?

Even that little bit of progress looks great!

I dunno what to think about the possibility of making it taller, maybe, maybe not. Maybe a test? A couple screenies to see if it looks just too repetitive?

I do like the idea of the ceiling be far enough away to be a bit shadowy (mage light is one square shorter than torch light, but I would go with torch light for testing and just let mage light be darker and don't worry about it)

This little project seems to have faded out. Since I wanted to see it completed and it hasn't been TOO long, I decided to try to bring attention too it.

Sadly I am not qualified to make much here. But to try to get the ball rolling again I gave it a shot.
The items I tried are wall-lamp(Torchholder) and an old-school style gobelin. Err old fashioned game style gobelin... whatever.

It is meant to be an oil or gas lamp since dwarves lack wood. A small cup kind if lika a menorah.
Sadly the flame position of a torch holder can't be moved so it isn't pretty from the side:

That is also the first peek at the gobelin.
