Not sure about the clipping issue. Maybe it has too do with having to put the dat file into rar format and then everyone has to unzip the file. Alot of the wallsets have pictures on them automatically and I have a bunch of scary pics that I can put anywhere. Some things like catacombs are put in randomly by the editor so they maybe together with a torch holder or keyhole.

There are many custom monsters or retextured monsters rather throughout the dungeon and I try to make the dungeon not the same thing over and over.

I will probably still have balancing issues as I have only play tested to floor 10. Later on in the game there is a greenish looking creature called a Vingolev. He has

7000 hitpoints and attacks with both claws doing physical damage and fire damage with each claw and he attacks fast. So Good Luck all ahahhahah :twisted:
I did not have a brightness problem when I played. I will have to check if there is a brightness setting in options or something.

Some custom items dont have lighting. They just have a dif pic. No spec or norm.

This is not an exact remake of any other game. This is just my vision of a modern Dungeon Master game where there is a really mean and nasty Lord of Chaos waiting for you deep in his dungeon and you wont need to trap him in a fluxcage. You will have to kill him instead and it wont be easy as he will be surrounded by the worst monsters in the dungeon.

I believe I can get rid of the clipping problem with scary pics by removing the random catacomb code from the wallsets code and place all catacombs manually on all floors which will take some time.

You should be able to use your saved game from version 1 on version 2.

I have already tried that sort of thing.

This stair mistake at least shows me that you can put a stair down to the next floor but no stair up is needed which is a cool way of trapping the party down in that floor and they will have to search that floor for a starway back up that would lead to a secret area on the floor above with a secret door that can only be opened from the secret area side and then the secret door would lead to the rest of that floor.

Hmmm Maybe in the sequel.

The sequel will be called Hex Margarth Mountain. In the sequel weapons and armor will be available in the beginning but after that all weapons and armor will have to be crafted.

Everytime I try to upload version 2. I get a connection error with the nexus during the upload but I will keep on trying.

Now this is just Grimrock's game system on the DM maps, right? So no change to the magic or class system?

There are new magic spells and the class system is basically the same. Certain weapons and armor for fighters, rogues and mages.

The Stair problem on floor 11 can not be solved with saved games being reused with a new dat file.

I am afraid that a start over is necessary. Sorry for that all.

I will release version two tomorrow.

As this is 70 levels, and you say that you've only tested the first 10 or so, plus found a pretty big bug on level 11, I think I'll wait until it's been properly beta tested before playing. I have to say though, I've really loved what I've played so far! Kudos to you for all the great custom sounds and tension you've created. :)
