It's clean because of OCD Snails.

Pressure plate finished. That was harder than expected haha

Clean alcove is finished. Seemed fitting to announce that. lol

Your pack will be really cool Neikun :)

Can't wait to see it in action (or use it for future MODs) :p

Does anyone know how to make normals?
I have these big ugly shadows on my pillars and I think it's because I'm using the original normalMap of the dungeon pillars.

Funny enough, I get no shadow trouble for the ones used in the stairs.

I'm trying to download the normalMap plugin for gimp, but every time I try to run the installer, I get "...libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll is missing"
Anyone know how to fix this?

Actually.. maybe this is a problem with the spec map. -fiddles some-
Nope. Definitely the normalMap's beef. I removed the normal map entirely for some good results. I think it looks fine.
You guys?

The dungeon wall text is proving to be even more tedious than the pressure plate! haha.

EDIT: Found something that made me giggle.
There's a literal tree inside the moss on this texture.

Dang. Now I'm never going to be able to unsee it in-game!

Why don't you just use the normal maps provided with the .psd's? You should be able to just delete the moss layer, that's what I did with my variant on the dungeon tileset and it works fine.

Because the pillar texture used in game is not the same as the one Juho provided.

If you use photoshop you can get pretty good normalmap results from the filter forge plugin, but its not exactly free to use. And neither is photoshop if you don't own it lol! Also CrazyBump is supposed to be good but I doubt the demo version gives you much. I have many many problems with free/opensource normal map generators. For instance, the plugin for paint.dot.net does a noddy job at creating normal maps from greyscale height images. The quality isn't the best and the normals won't wrap around the edges of the image so its really akward for creating repeating textures, although that may not be an issue. If you want something free then try the paint.net plugin. It can do no harm and is easy enough to use. http://paint.net.amihotornot.com.au/Fea ... ormal_Map/

Decided to do something different while taking a break from the wall text.

An alternative for photoshop is this plugin from NVidia.
https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-tex ... -photoshop
They propose this tool free and it can wrap the texture on the sides so it can be used with repetitive texture.
