What's Up With Arrows?

I created a custom arrow using the "arrow.model" and even though I change the model name and the materials using the model editor, change the colors, change the ID and name but it changes it's name back to broadhead arrow after killing a monster. All my other custom items don't have this problem.

Can anyone tell me how to stop it from doing this?

After doing some more searching I found this post from 2012, which seems to work, apparently it was never fixed in the game. So if anyone else had this problem it's a solution, thanks LordGarth.

All new arrows stay what they are. I tried my steel arrows, slayer arrows, ghost arrow and planar arrow.

And they all stayed what they are after hitting a monster.
