Yeah, it's a representation of my idealized self-perception, or more simply it only resembles me.

The girl is my girlfriend and the older guy is my father (who used to play dungeon master when I was like 3 years old.)

I just finished a new one of my friend! SO I drew 4 of them today, so tiring!

Thanks Curunir.

And that's pretty cool, Sayian! They somehow feel very game-like. Kinda hard to explain!

Yeah, well we all look different enough that it works. Asian girl, black guy, young white guy, old white man.

I was thinking of having my friend be the minotaur since the race doesn't really matter when you import a picture. You can just choose for the stats. Since the intro pictures don't really represent your party, I doubt they are represented by race or anything later in the game. But it kinda weirds me out to make my GF an insectoid for the magic stats...

I like sayianianian way better than all the rest of the portraits, they are much closer to the classical approach of Grimrock's old school style, in comparison, other games portraits and "anime" avatars isn't creativity at all ( and not respectfull of the game background / universe )

Keep up the good work and make more.

Thanks! Well I would like to keep making some because I found it to be pretty fun. I'll try to think about more ideas. I agree about the anime style portraits. I love anime and manga, but this kind of game had it's own style, so I was trying to get close to the LoG portraits while also having Dungeon Master in mind.

Just found this, for the more retro-inclined folks:

I didn't make/rip/arrange those, I found them through a google image search.
