Waking Violet - I made a game!

Post by Xanathar »

Hi everyone!
Long time no see on this forum, but I was once a frequent poster here - heck I'm still in the first page for the most active users :lol:
Ok, done with the lame excuses for what is coming, that's obviously spam, but maybe somebody who played my mods could be interested.

So, to cut it short, Just peeking in to announce that I made a videogame myself, called Waking Violet.

Trailer video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHrxFiH ... e=youtu.be

Waking Violet is a classic 2D top-down puzzle game, but with awesome spells and a unique time rewind mechanic.

Playing as Violet, a shy teen with a desire to grow up, you get trapped in a dream you just can't wake up from.
Every puzzle solved will take you closer to waking-up and getting back to your real life, but you are in the dream for a reason, and getting out might not be as easy as it sounds…

-42 unforgiving levels
-Learn exciting spells
-Explore a magical world, and discover what (or who) is keeping you there
-Gain mana, cast spells, fail, undo your moves and try again
-Beautiful hand-drawn graphics with a unique style
-Amazing downtempo music to stimulate your concentration

Available on:
* Steam - June 29th
* Nintendo Switch - June 29th, presales today! (with discount)
* PS4 and PSVita - July 3rd

Hell yeah! Although, having played your Grimrock mods,
SpoilerShow
the title makes me suspect this game won't have a happy ending.

First and foremost, congrats!
Second, this is not spammy at all!
Third, is there a cost for the game when it comes out?
I couldn't find any info on any potential cost?

Indeed! With all the engines available nowadays anyone can be a game developer, but finishing a project is a completely another matter requiring skill and perseverance! Congrats and good luck with the release!
