That's what you get without putting a leash on the RNG. Since the change, we never got a single complaint about this.
It's your baby, you've worked on it, and you know better than most what plays best in it; no argument there... I was just hoping this was an optional padding that could be disabled.
Why so? It makes for a better player experience.

But one should be able to... and the reverse as well; but not one without the other. Does your system allow for seven hits in a row (with less than stated risk of missing)? When I look at skill percentages, I want them to be accurate (or else what's the point?); I don't expect a 98% to be a guarantee of assured success; but I also don't expect (and don't want) guaranteed success after seven tries at 2%... it feels like cheating. **Lack of this won't deter me from purchasing the game though. 8-)

It's a core mechanic and we never envisioned it to be optional, so no, at this point, it can't be toggled on/off.
But one should be able to... and the reverse as well; but not one without the other.
I get what you're saying. The thing is that the vast majority of players get heavily frustrated in these bad-streak occurrences. And they do happen often with raw RNG. If you run the raw RNG vs the "rigged" RNG for a million rounds, they will have the same result. Only the path to it is more "pleasant" with the latter.

It isn't. You can still miss with 98%, although not twice in a row. That's the point.

At 2%, the guaranteed success comes at the 1639th try, not 7th, although you're more likely to get hit by a lightning than getting that many misses.

Well, that's good to hear :) I bet you won't even notice the behind-the-scenes trickery when going through the game.

Hey Faerghail!

Thank you for your interest!

We're actually very close to release. Right now, we're in the playtesting & bugfixing phase. The game is basically 99% done, but we are taking all this time to make sure the game is as stable and polished as possible. We believe in quality and that's what we want to give you guys. We will be releasing news about the release soon on our website, as well as Facebook and other media.

Thanks again!

Good work!

The game looks smooth with a strong steampunk feel. Obviously, you have been influenced by the Legend of Grimrock games, which is a good thing.

All you need now (besides people purchasing it) is a dungeon editor :)
I think I'll get it once I've finished my mod.

Anyway, good luck with the game.
Cheers!
