the room is incredibly tough. the first 2 or 3 that you have to kill are the hardest ones, because you will almost always have a second one behind you somewhere damaging you as well. basically what you have to do though is recognized their movement AI and figure out how to bait them one at a time b...

The only doubt I have about random dungeon generation is, is it fun? It works great in roguelikes, e.g. ADOM, because you can see the whole explored map all the time, but what about when you only see a tiny sliver of the randomly generated level (the viewpoint in LoG)? unarmed damage is all over the place, and until you get your character to about level 9, it more often than not stays pretty low, then out of no where you will start punching dudes for like, 50 damage. i dont get it either. as far as spells, you dont have to have found the scrolls for the spells to ...

i knew they werent immortal, but i did have a "fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...." moment when i first ran into them because i thought i didnt have the proper equipment (read: spells) to deal with them. then i realized that the barrier is meant to absorb a lot of damage because they die faster than the ugguardian...

some of the enemies it kills will drop keys that unlock the rooms in the area you fight him, and they hold lightning rods in them. you can pick them up and equip them on your party and just zap him to oblivion, using the weapon of power at the same time to do the same thing.

I did a few tests on slugs and it seems that the XP system is flawed. I tried killing it with only 1 char attacking and he got 60 xp and all the rest got 30. Then I attacked with 2 chars, they both got 60 xp, the rest got 30. Doesn't seem like XP is divided (from some total xp per mob) among party ...
