My feeling is that it blocks a certain amount of hits, but only up to a certain amount of damage per hit, so guys with huge single hit numbers (maces) still do some damage, while the shield still stays up for the next hit.

Regarding the door - is it the one that you can see stairs behind it? - have you tried jumping?

While restarting on easy is an idea, I'd advise reading up on character generation then starting again on normal. My reasoning for that is this: You cant boost spear damage, meaning one of your backliners are useless for the entire game Specing into multiple magics are a bad idea, as more points mea...

If its the iron door, you've used the item you need on this level already to open / close doors

I've heard turning your graphics settings down can help with the timed puzzles, someone also mentioned using "cheatengine" to slow the game down (I'm NOT endorsing this) Failing that, There's a few regulars on the forum that have offered to do puzzles for some people, I'm willing to help; ...

Since he starts with 5 in earth, i'll prob use the spell for a bit as its an extra tick of damage - until I find an axe of course.

As long as you have a single hand spare, you can use your unarmed attacks. stat boosts don't seem to be "active" when you have that weapon in hand, so even if you were to fill both hands, you would still get all the base stats from the tree. I'd suggest a Rogue over Fighter for unarmed - D...

If its the teleport I think it is, its to remove the items on the plate to reset the puzzle. After you complete the puzzle and clear the area, you open up a route back to the main area as you get closed off after the puzzle "there is no turning back" written on the wall. The same lever ope...
