Re: lvl 6 orge

Killed with just arrows, long range spells, shurikens, throwing knives and a couple of bombs. (I thrown him all that could be thrown  ). Used the bombs only after all arrows, spells, knives and shurikens were used up. Since it does not damage you if you keep him at distance (and dodge the charg...

Re: Fighter's Challenge Strategies!! Level 6 to 5 secret

I brewed all healing potions I could. My two fighters were equipped as they always were - the human with sword of nex and a mix of plate/ring/valor, and the minotaur with mostly chitin. Entered, and used concentrated on letting a couple of spells and frost arrows go before the inevitable mage and ro...

Re: EOB1 comparisons.

All of the Illusionary walls in EOB had a rune on them indicating that there was something special about the wall. I remember the dwarf level had quite a few unmarked illusionary walls - and really most level were full of unmarked illus. walls. There were so many almost impossible to find walls tha...

Re: Oh why spiders, oh why?

You're only on level 3; starting over isn't that much of a setback, and if you can't handle two spiders on level 3 you're really going to get your butt handed to you in some of the later fights. I had much more problems with spiders in level 3 than many other monsters below, but the reason is proba...

that pattern works wonders and avoids me going back there every now and then which is just a frustrating time loss. Thanks!

Re: Foooooooooooooooooooood!

"Normal" in today games are "easy" in classic games. Well I (re)played the entire EOB series + Lands of Lore less than a year before LoG and they are a breeze compared to LoG in standard. BTW in EoB1 there is quite enough food, until your cleric learns "Create Food". Here food is a real problem (I ...

Thanks! This is the kind of info that is hard to find since the skill tree does not tell it.

Will follow both your suggestions, and concentrate on ice (or air, still not sure but both seem right choices) and spellcraft to 18.

Master of one element or jack of all trades ?

Hi all, need some hint regarding the magic skills. In the long run is it better to have Ice 24 / Air 27 or one of them at 50 the other at 0 ? The higher bonuses don't seem to offset spell flexibility to me, but I might be wrong. And since I've completely messed up with a throwing weapon rogue, I wou...
