Re: Invulnerable poison cloud monster thingy
Yeah LoG2 is kind of bias toward the non mage party. Air Elementals are the worst but the other ones are also a pain with out the right gear. with most of that gear Bombs are limited use and you might be out of them when you need them. Having access to elemental shields and damage is basically requi...

Re: Mage Character starting with Water magic
you know what always bugged me in LoG1 and LoG2?
You make a wizard right?
They have magical skills right?
But they never start with any spells. I guess they just got so badly beaten by the prison guards that they forgot how to cast even the most basic of spells.

Re: Noob needing help with party creation
Ratlings are odd, since the start with low strength and health, but are immune to diseases and can pick the Mutation trait wich makes them gain a +1 to a random attribute every time they level up, potentially making them at par or even superior to other races if you're lucky. Not even if your lucky...

Re: Mage Character starting with Water magic
Sadly LoG has never been kind to wizards. Scrolls are statically place around the levels regardless of your party build or skills. But the flip side is you don't need the scrolls to learn magic just the skills and foreknowledge of the patterns needed. What this does is make peoples first play throug...

Re: 4 x Lizardmen for Endure Elements?
yeah it is pretty solid the only real draw back to me is the alchemist will be awhile before they can cast anything. You get a wand fairly quick but then its going to be some time before you get a 2nd caster item unless you know where they are and head right for them.

Re: Alchemist herb-growing? Location of a magic catalyst? et
The item is called the Whitewood Wand, and requires 1 in concentration to use. Maybe that'll help refresh your memory and help you recall where you left it. Or you'll find it in a bag or something. It also looks like a stick so that could also make things confusing if you were clearing your invento...

Re: Light weapons are rubbish
I think a lot could be fixed just by knocking a second off of the cool downs for light weapons across the board. They would still do less damage per hit but there DPS would start to get closer to Heavy weapons over the course of a fight.

Re: evasion
I will say Evasion + Protection is the win. Right now my front line is a Dex based Knight and a Str Based Barb. The barb has a much higher HP but the Knight has a little better protection (form class bouns) and the knight is sitting on almost 50 evasion. Long fights the Barb is always the first to d...

Re: Alchemist herb-growing? Location of a magic catalyst? et
Alchemists grow herbs when taking steps in the game. More valuable herbs require more steps, from 850 per herb up to 4500. Sounds like a lot, but you'll be doing a lot of walking... Oh wait - I think I was confused. Do alchemist need a specific item for herbs to grow? I thought an item called 'cata...
