Re: Lovecraft?
Definitely a fan of Lovecraft. Would love to see a Lovecraft (or Lovecraft-esque) story translate well into a video game. There have been a few that have done this well, but it's pretty rare (Alone in the Dark comes to mind as one of the best examples of this to date).

Re: OK, so now a personal question or two.
1) 30 2) US 3) Only 5? I guess off the top of my head I'll say (in no particular order): Eye of the Beholder Nethack (and Hack before that) Daggerfall Baldur's Gate II Legend of Zelda 4) Again, impossible to choose only 5, but here's a few (again, in no particular order): X-COM: UFO Defense DOOM Wiz...

Re: Whats you favourite grid based Dungeon Crawler
EOB is hands down one of my favorite games of all time. I also really enjoyed the random dungeons in Dungeon Hack. There were plenty of other similar games I never got around to (most notably LoL) Thanks for the mention of ScummVM, I hadn't heard of it and am kind of stoked to dig up some old games ...

Re: NEWS: standalone version available through grimrock.net
Will I get an email with the link to the standalone download on the 11th? Did everyone else get an email with details of the purchase? You should have received an email from "Humble Store" with your purchase information and the URL to the "Unique Humble URL" (this is the page yo...

Re: First Play Through, CHOOSE YOUR PARTY!
Personally thinking about ditching a rogue in favor of a 2-fighter, 2-mage party (but I'm sure I'll be kicking myself somewhere down in the dungeon where those skills would come in handy). I hate lugging a rogue around because they're rarely all that useful and can't carry their weight in a fight, b...

Re: NEWS: standalone version available through grimrock.net
Those who buy it directly from you. They effectively get 2 games for 1 price, doesn't they? I mean, you could use the standalone installer for yourself and give the steam key to another? No, that's not at all true, at least it's not anymore true than saying "anyone who buys it from GOG get's i...

Re: NEWS: standalone version available through grimrock.net
Just registered to say thank you for this. This is excellent news. I'm not sure I could be more excited about this game.
