i finished wiz 8 with my party from wiz 7 (single fairy ninja), would say about 100 hours game time total yes AI of monsters is really bad, but i liked the game nonetheless, really wanted to finish the trilogy... wiz 7 was otoh probably the game i played the most (about 6-7 runs to the end). actuall...

jump into the pit, while in mid air throw something across, try to do it while teleporter is out, the trap-door will close when you come back from the pit

he is referring to the first trap door where you must throw something 4 spaces deep.

i had a very simple strategy.
got hit a total of 3 times during the whole thing and i just picked them off one at a time

things i miss from some older games: - illusionary walls (that look like normal only you can go through them) - more of the same weapons but existing weapons can get used (blunt, broken, extinguished like torches...) - places/labyrinths where automap is disabled/not available - 5 skillpoints per lvl...

or just look at the 'rings' on the corners of walls, which 'magically dissapear' when you go through the tile. actually they stay there, you are just turned around, you can use em for reference as to which way you should go. the shift event only trigggers once you step onto a tile, you can easily ro...

there is a decent dagger lvl 4, but for the second one you'll have to wait until lvl 7 or 8 for a substitute for a basic dagger.
