Ahh for sure Komag! I have a room, with six pressure plates and two secret doors. I am trying to create a simple sequence puzzle with the pressure plates (correct sequence of 3 to open 1 door, another sequence of 3 to open the other). As ^^mentioned, I tried using the plates to trigger the lever tog...

Yes indeed! Silly me... Ok, so I have pasted the party script into init.lua but unfortunately I have the same result: turns to blue gem fake once placed into the eye socket, and is able to picked up from the socket (as well as the ground).. In an attempt to ressurect my plate sequence riddle, I tried using Montis' sequence riddle code (the one posted up in the super thread) in conjunction with Komag's suggestion of connecting plates to scripts which then toggle a lever (then connecting the lever to the aforementioned riddle script).......

Hey Trudel, yes, from the asset pack v1.. you can see in the objects file that the eyes and mouth are coded to only accept the certain colours: defineObject{ name = "eye_socket_left", class = "Alcove", anchorPos = vec(0.21, 1.58, -0.45), targetPos = vec(0.2, 1.65, -0.45), targetSize = vec(0.1, 0.1, ...

I have also tried connecting the eye socket to a script running this code: function fakeBlueGem() onPickUpItem = function(self, item) if item.name == "blue_gem_fake" then return false else return true end end, But I can still take the fake blue gem out of the socket... :oops: ---sorry spacing is mes...

Thanks guys! No joy yet but I think I am very close.... this is what I have done so far: 1.Cloned a blue gem fake into items.lua 2.Defined a new left eye socket into objects.lua, using the onPickUpItem hook (this might be where I am not correct....) defineObject{ name = "daemon_eye_left_hold", class...

Ok,
so using the onPickUpItem hook, destroy the item and then replace it into the eye socket
I may well be able to improvise on some other script I have used to destroy objects and replace them somewhere..
Let me play and I will get back to you....

Hey folks,
I have searched around for an appropriate thread to place this question... it is indeed eye socket related!

Q- is there a way to rig it so once a gem is placed into an eye socket, it can not be removed afterwards????
