Re: What order should I visit the maps?
You'll only be able to visit a small portion of the cemetery if you haven't found the clue to opening its main gate (and don't use a spoiler/walkthrough to bypass that), so while you can visit the western periphery of it, you won't be doing much there until later. Of the ruins and the swamp, the swa...

Re: Set bonus lost when shields are in non-active weapon slo
A) Remove shield from crystal armor set. Crystal shield would still exist, but it would not be needed to complete the armor set. Please make this change, but also change the Meteor Shield in the same way. There's no reason for these set bonuses to only be available to shield users. The current impl...

Re: Set bonus lost when shields are in non-active weapon slo
While I don't feel that it's appropriate for a currently-unequipped item - which includes anything in the inactive toggle - to provide its benefits, it *is* true that the +health (and +vitality/willpower/energy) items and set benefits are awkward because of the way that max/current work (and that is...

Re: The design of special attack can be done better.
Charging the special attack last (after you've activated everyone else's regulars and they're all on cooldown) is the way to go.
If you want to have an easier time making use of them in the thick of things, that's the entire point of the Fighter's special ability.

What I want to know is what happened to the professor, the movie(theater?) star, and all of the others on that tiny ship of his!

Re: Do not throw anything that looks remotely unique away.
With a game like this, setting up stashes is pretty much a standard technique. I used the fire shrine initially, then moved most of my stash to the lake (while operating around there) and the Hub (once it had enough access points to be convenient). Crates are too heavy to be worth lugging around nor...

Re: Rogue. Expert Throwing or Light Weapons?
Honestly I also agree with that, I know that strength would influence how hard you throw objects, but there are weapons that the way you throw them you need to be agile in order to throw them efficiently and with as a much deadly accuracy as possible. For efficiency and accuracy, being agile is nic...

Re: Mage Character starting with Water magic
That's not true. If you character starts with Water 1 & Earth 1 they can cast ice spikes right from the beginning.Noralk wrote:all water magic spells need at least a point in another element to be cast, so yes you have to wait till level 2 to be able to cast something.

Re: Paralyzed by character creation
The minotaur barbarian is fine, but you could just as easily make him critical-heavy. A light weapon barbarian is going to have trouble finding decent strength-based weapons to work with and dual wielding is generally a poor choice for anything other than a rogue - the damage penalty for anyone else...

Re: evasion
you'd be wrong, but so what if someone did? EVERY other rpg known to man has had rogue be a viable front liner... because of things like dex based evade. Given that most of those RPGs hard-coded rogues as wearing leather armor and wielding daggers (or equivalents), as opposed to Grimrock where the ...
