Re: Balance Changes

The only reason I can guess that you're crying is because you want use all these cool things with zero drawbacks. Any reason you are choosing to take an intellectual discussion and turn it into a pissing match? I must admit I was hoping to keep this as an unbiased, non-judgmental topic. I assume th...

Balance Changes

It seems there are several comments about balance from one topic to the next. In an attempt contain all thoughts and theories of balance woes in one location, I suggest using this topic as the de facto place to post ideas concerning balance issues for GR2. Please feel free to comment or post your ow...

Re: Legend of Grimrock 3

So we could have extra schools like necromancy / angellic / spirtual / nature, or whatever else, which we could also tie to race if we chose as creators, and wouldn't have to rely solely on plants for healing, though the 'nature' realm of magic could be so much more beneficial to an alchemist of co...

Re: Legend of Grimrock 3

Definitely tile based but how about an octagonal grid that would allow diagonal movement. https://imageshack.com/i/ipIjE7Duj This +1 ! Truth be told, while side-stepping enemies is not part of the "strategy" of battling monster in the LoG series, having octagonal squares would eliminate this "featu...

Re: evasion

How interesting; I had no idea this was changed so drastically. In LOG1, I always played minotaur archers in the front focusing heavily on evade and was far, far more adapt than anything relating to protection. Protection in LOG1 was the bastard step-child everyone ignored it seems to me. Now it see...

A quick question re: dex

Q: Are there any dex-based melee weapons other than daggers? I ask because I'm trying a new party minus the alchemist (unhappy with firearms) and have a Lizard-Knight Front-Right along side my Minotaur Barbarian. In LOG1, I could focus on "unarmed combat" and pump up dexterity to get my evasion to a...

Alchemy List?

Is there a list of alchemist herb potions floating about somewhere? I've been haphazardly tossing all scrolls I've found by the wayside on the assumption that there was already a list on this site or floating on the web, but alas, it's not to be found.

Re: digging holes

I would love to see treasure *randomly* generated on levels at game creation for explorers who dare to dig their game away. I dug up all of the first level and also found only one buried chest. I like the idea of hidden treasure at random spots - this would add much more replay-ability when restart...

Re: Late game wizards

Didn't read everyone's post so sorry if I repeat something someone else said. 1st, mages can do AoE damage. Not only can they hit all 4 enemies in a square, but they can also hit multiple groups of enemies (with ice shards specifically). Because you can hit all 4 enemies in a tile, you will do WAY ...

Re: digging holes

It would transform the searching process from a puzzle game to a tedious no-brain gameplay. I'm afraid I dislike this idea. That depends on your definition of what is "necessary". If you feel like you haven't completed the game unless you have picked up every root, piece of meat, and whatever trash...
