Re: Success of LOG 2

I kind of feel games like Binding of Isaac, FTL and Shovel Knight, while good, aren't close to LoG/LoG2's quality, yet are still getting lots more attention.

Re: Success of LOG 2

Dear AH, i read that LOG 1 was great success for you with 600M sold copies. Could you tell us how successful is LOG2. How many copies have been sold? Are you satisfied with that? Regards 600k for LoG1. Still, very respectable for a small indie company with very little advsertising. I wonder how man...

Re: Healing crystal discussion

As a general rule I'd say one crystal per level or a little less is a good idea. The Ironman and single use crystal options will always be there for those interested in a more punishing experience.

Re: Thank you for not treating me like an idiot, Grimrock 2

I like how the tutorials were done in both Grimrock games. No scripted cutscenes, just some simple, easy puzzles and hints, and then let the game evolve from there. The player is never pulled out or interrupted. The controls are also very simple and intuitive, so you don't need to read lengthy instr...

Re: Special Attacks?

I generally use lulls in combat to charge up special attacks. Such as when you're waiting for a monster to approach you and you can't deal damage anyway. Then you might as well make use of that time and charge up an attack to release for when you can.

Re: Strategy against Sand Wargs.

I stand on a square diagonally to them, then as they enter the square in front of me I hit them and side step before they can turn to attack. Usually I don't get hit this way. When space is limited or there's more than one it gets more problematic.

That snow scenery looks so harsh and uninviting. I'm looking forward having my party freezing to death there :)
