Re: Calling Shenanigans on the 12 hour finish people

Surprised that not one person is this thread has mentioned the fact that old school map drawing such as I do ..adds significant time to the play through. A lot of people went this route.

Re: Going back up the levels for treasure

Leave it for your next play through. Gives you another reason to play the game again.

SpoilerShow
There is a button I believe 3 squares down from the lightning face, on the north side of the hallway. Orient your self north . Go down the hallway right after the face fires... hit the button and scoot in the doorway, 3 more squares down backwards

Re: Any chance of a mini-map?

Draw your own map old school style, and it will always be available there on the desk right beside you. Not a minimap, but a full size map. Having a minimap on the screen would have ruined the experience for me.

Re: Do you have general combat tips to share?

I have to say, even though I've played tons of these block-style dungeon crawl games, it has always (and still does) felt like cheating to do the move and strike their side thing. Backpedaling and using ranged weapons on a slow enemy is one thing, but the tactics described above really feels like y...

Or you have these compasses that are in bubbles, that are hanging on the rear view mirrors of a lot of vehicles. They are simply compasses with a rotating dial that is backwards ..SO they work exactly like a normal compass. But they actually show you which direction you are heading. . S E W . N In t...

Re: Broken compass, seems fine to me?

Regardles ..they still point towards the north. That's not regardless, that's you're wrong about the definition of a compass. Here's a better one: A device used to determine geographic direction, usually consisting of a magnetic needle or needles horizontally mounted or suspended and free to pivot ...

Re: Broken compass, seems fine to me?

Well then ..why argue it. It obviously works just like it is supposed to..Why complain because it makes you think a little more than you want to. Its only used for old school map drawing anyway..Its pretty useless if you have the automap turned on. Um. I just mapped the entire game on grid paper, a...

Re: Broken compass, seems fine to me?

Most compasses are cardinal, in that they highlight the four cardinal points. Not all compasses point towards magnetic north, however. If it is actually a compass it does indeed point to magnetic north. Definition of a compass: An instrument containing a magnetized pointer that shows the direction ...
