I was thinking he used them to build the trials on the island and then killed them when they were done so they couldn't tell anyone about it. Yeah, I'm thinking the Island Master isn't supposed to be a "good" guy, but more of a person who believes the end (keeping the secret to the world'...
Agree with numbers (optionally enabled, of course) over character health and energy bars, which would be a real quality of life improvement. How many times have I had to check the character screen to see if they had enough energy for a Fireball? But over monster HP bars? That gives away a little too...
Yeah, definitely, any game with a sound system that also includes basically unlimited hours of replayability, especially procedurally generated replayability like FTL (Or, heck, Rogue), is going to hold peoples' attentions for far longer than one like Grimrock, whose only mode is nearly fully spoile...

Light weapons have higher DPS than heavy weapons across the entirety of the main campaign (except for the very first few minutes before you find the dagger), and I find ar...
Something I would really like to see is further improvement of environments. I did like the extremely long dungeon in Grimrock 1 but I feel like the dungeons were sufficiently deep enough in 2 and the outdoor area made up for it. When I say improvements for environments - I mean more uniqueness, mo...
