You can get a lot more health by going into athletics first for the stat bonuses and then going to armor. You would see a big difference if we could easily get up to say level 26 or higher in the dungeon. Athletics made my guys eat less, be able to carry more (which is important but I won't get into...
If you want to set off Empyrean's tick you should take athletics! I organized just about everything in my dungeon too and it's all on levels 5 6 and 9 if I recall. I left a set of armor and weapons (with some food and a few torches) for that set of bones... you know.... "just in case". Ath...
Actually 4 mages won't be as hard as you think and here is why: Range damage is safe from counter attack against the majority of enemies you face. If you already beat the game once on hard you kinda remember where all the sticky points are located. 4 mages with pre cast runes is actually pretty high...

As soon as you make a poison cloud you're making the 2x2 step a lot more complicated and dangerous. The point of having magic is for long ran...
I'm going to try this one more time.... You can give the front guys athletics AND armor to make them the best possible tanks. Then you can have the back guys specialized to deal 75% of the damage or more. Hey guess what that actually IS pretty optimized... but it just happens to be different from wh...
Basically your argument sounds like this: I never saw the influences that Kill Bill was made from as both a parody and homage, so I think the excess blood spray (and pretty much the entire movie) is stupid. LoG is a DM remake and it is good for what it is considering we will have a dungeon editor la...
You should be able to grind in the blue dinosaur area as they respawn while you are in the maze or sleeping outside the door. Someone pointed out that those guys respawn indefinitely if you are hanging around that area.
Earth is by far the weakest element as there are several early and a few late enemies immune to poison. Not to mention poison/disease quickly becomes non threatening once you get to level 6 or 7 for your characters. Meanwhile fire, ice and lightning really really hurt when they hit you. Fire does th...
