Minmay: I get this error. What am I missing ?
The getMovementDirection() function that I mentioned. You'll need to implement this yourself as my implementation of it is specific to my own mod's custom movement system.

Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Wasn't there someone that had found a way to make the party move up an elevation in a smooth way ? That was me, but importantly, my approach does not work with items or monsters on the slope : -- Slopes occupy their own tile, the two tiles in front of them, and the tiles -- directly above those til...

Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Yea I see what you mean, the method would have to be universal for on or off, hence toggle. So there is no way( with out doing it in the editor) to have it switch once on a delay, then activate its target without breaking the mod/save. Oh, I see. You can do this, but it is substantially more of a p...

Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

NOTE2: Its crazy that the only method you call there is toggle. Open or activate are nill values, hmm I wonder what the activate method is, because there has to be one right? Its just not called activate? It's toggle. LeverComponent:toggle() pulls the lever down if it's currently up, or pulls the l...

Re: Legend of Grimrock 3

Just use the ntcore patch to get rid of the memory limitation and make legend of grimrock 3 mod yourself :) Flipping the large address aware bit only increases the available address space from 2 GiB to 4 GiB, which is a far cry from 64-bit. The Linux version of Grimrock 1 does have a 64-bit executa...

Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Unfortunately that won't work because lever connectors pass the LeverComponent as the first argument if connected to a ScriptControllerComponent, and you can't pass a component through a delayedCall without breaking save games. So you are either not imitating the connector correctly (which will bre...

Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

If the object has minimalSaveState then component onInit hooks will run every time the game is loaded, otherwise they will only run once.

Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

You can also include it directly in the component definition, which is particularly useful for minimalSaveState objects:

Code: Select all

{
	class = "Model",
	model = "mod_assets/models/env/goat_statue.fbx",
	emissiveColor = vec(0.04, -0.02, 0),
}

Re: Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

No, though again, you can try to fake it by using emissive color. I was thinking about that, but it wont receive lighting correctly right? The fragment will still be lit as normal, but the emissive color will be added to the fragment's color at the end. So it's somewhat unfriendly with lighting but...
