Re: Please do something about the spiders :(

True, if it wouldn't be their vision then we wouldn't have this conversation. Then again the color palette is also an artistic thing, so how dare colorblinds suggest colorblind modes to games! Colorblindness is more prevalent than arachnophobia, and substantially more prevalent than arachnophobia e...

Re: Please do something about the spiders :(

It's continually amazing to me the types of things people will request of game developers. Comments have been made that a game is inherently different from a movie because it should be easier to replace one monster with another arbitrarily throughout. Sure, that's arguably true from a technical stan...

Re: GOG and future Mac downloads

Just goes to show that you can't please all of the people all of the time. I, for one, honestly appreciate that a purchase direct from AH (i.e. via the Humble Store) provides BOTH a DRM-free version and a Steam Key, because it seems very often these days that the customer must be forced to choose be...

Re: Grimrock 2 release date, trailer and preordering!

I'm somewhat sad to see that there's no one left over in the #grimrock channel on IRCnet, but I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised after all this time (and there weren't too many of us there to begin with, iirc). :(

Nosferatu is in the public domain (at least in the US), do what you like. ;)

Re: Grimrock 2 release date, trailer and preordering!

I haven't really been back here in the forums in a long time, but wanted to pop in and say thank you to everyone at Almost Human. I'm incredibly excited for this sequel to come out and have been greatly looking forward to it. Pre-ordered the moment I saw that it was available and I'll be counting do...

Re: Diablo 3

Totally agree with seebs. If you needed any additional proof what a terrible idea this is, try playing your "single player" Diablo 3 anytime during their scheduled outages for patching or updates (or, like seebs mentioned, anytime you're gaming in an environment where being constantly conn...

Re: Diablo 3

Nothing about this surprises me. Fortunately (for Blizzard), the number of people who care enough about these downsides is such a minimal impact to their bottom line that they can disregard the complaints entirely.

Re: Diablo 3

Also, to be clear: Requiring a CD to be in your drive has always been easy-to-crack copy protection and it's completely within the realm of possibility that always-online DRM can and will be cracked as well. These things don't prevent piracy, so strike that senseless notion from your mind. The only ...

Re: Diablo 3

I don't play LoL either, but as I understand it nothing you pay for impacts the game in any functional way. People paying are doing so for aesthetic changes only and doing so either for that reason or to support the game. I completely agree with your stance that nothing someone pay's for should giv...
