Re: [Feedback] The necessity of equipping some items before use
LoG1 seems to respectfully disagree. That's comparing apples and oranges. LoG1 mortar and pestel was a plain container you could dump anything into. Pure try and error. LoG2 mortar and pestel shows all ingredients in your inventory, ready to select for what you want to make based on your characters...

Re: [Feedback] The necessity of equipping some items before use
And shovel is required to dig holes but without holding it aka actively using it it's just a plain item that does nothing. Yet only shovel got the quality of life feature, so I think mortar and pestle can get the feature as well. That's unlikely because shovel is a one-trick-pony. Mortar and pestel...

Re: [Feedback] The necessity of equipping some items before use
Mortar and pestle are required to create potions and bombs but without holding it aka actively using it it's just a plain container that does nothing. Similar to a jar you just dump stuff into; the content won't change without another action. And shovel is required to dig holes but without holding ...

Re: [Feedback] The necessity of equipping some items before use
The shovel does not require other items to produce holes. Mortar and pestle do require other items to produce something which is why it's also a container. Involving other items is not a valid stand, in my opinion. The point is holding or not holding in hand to use. The point of involving other ite...

Re: [Feedback] The necessity of equipping some items before use
Have you ever tried to crush stuff within a mortar without holding and using the pestle? Or having it still sit in your cupboard? Have you ever tried to dig a hole with a shovel without holding and using the shovel? The shovel does not require other items to produce holes. Mortar and pestle do requ...

Re: The Guardian mod is crashing
Install the 4gb patch https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371 Thanks for the advice, but it cannot be installed on a Linux system  Well since LoG2 is a Windows application create a Windows VM to patch the game file. Use Oracle VirtualBox and Windows ISO Downloader to get a 64-bit Windows ISO to create...

Re: D3DError when launching the game
try to delete grimrok2.log You prolly ment grimrock.cfg but that won't fix this problem. I've tried to run LoG2 using Steam + Proton on several Linux distributions and found that the results vary a lot. Worst was Debian who could not start the game with any version of Proton available in Steam, see...

Re: D3DError when launching the game
Well since you stated the game worked in the past my best guess is your Wine DirectX setup on that installation got changed or damaged., prolly due to some update. Since both LoG and LoG2 did not change for years the problem has to be in one of the packages Wine needs, given the error message and st...
